Out of the Frying Pan

The sun shone brightly onto the town of Worthton. The town was built atop a large cliff, looking over the sea. The day seemed jubilous, being the festival and all that, but all was not well. There were probably some people in the town, though.

Skills: after losing one eye in " the war", his eyesight increased in his left eye to astronomical levels. Can shoot a crossbow and extremely skilled with a Katana, He has his own high-frequency blade named "jack". His skills are so good, he got promoted to Major after two battles. Also, he has minor leadership skills and is deaf in one ear.
Weaknesses- prone to "combat highs" pretty much he goes apeshit and cant tell friend from foe. also, cant hear, and has a major case of PTSD and is prone to flashbacks. also not very fast.

Leigh leaned against the side of the bakery, in the alley between it and the general store. She grinned as she pulled her hood over her head. The festival was always the time with the most oblivious, or better yet, drunk people about, and therefore the time with the best opportunities for stealing. She breathed in, and ran out into the middle of the crowd, blending in easily with the other people.

A large, burly man bumps into Leigh from behind.

"Oh, I'm sorry, young lady. What's such a person doing alone. Where are your parents?"

"Oh, I was just out seeing my friends for a bit. My parents are at home," Leigh said, confident in her lie.

as Clark walked through the crowd, he tried to look for his Apocothary . Out of the corner of his eye, he sees a man and a little girl conversing. In his gravely voice, he mutters "fucking pedo" with anger and a touch of sadness, as he contuines the search for the Apocothary

"Uh, excuse me. What did you say?" The man says, looking at Clark

Clark, Reaching for his blade with his left hand "nothing sir! have you seen the Apocothary anywhere?" clark asked in desperation.

"Oh.. you're one of "those" people.

Glad to see I have company! It gets rather lonely dealing with people who aren't of "our" kind. Yeah, the apothecary is on high demand due to the festival, but I know where he is, follow me!"

Meanwhile, Leigh sees pockets ripe for the picking, but best of all, a nobleman, wearing luxurious robes which somehow have pockets, completely unprotected.

Serenity sees a girl hugging the wall not to far from her. She starts focusing on her and notices a man approaching her. In that split second, she realizes she jepordized her mission. The apple storekeeper kicked her out onto the streets. Serenity felt a little woozy, but she still had bearings of her surroundings. From across the street, she hides in a shadow and watches the man and the girl talking. She realizes that there is no need to hide, but her spike of curiosity always takes over her body and actions. She watches as another man intervenes with the conversation, and the two men nonchalantly walk somewhere.

Leigh went behind the man, and, taking a couple small rocks out of her back, gently replaced the pocket's worth-full with worthless. Gloating in her treasure, she was disrupted by the sight of the man she'd talked to before and a different, somewhat familiar other person edging their way through the crowd. Had she met that other guy before or...? She decided to follow the two.

Clark looked pissed, then not so much. as he followed the man to get his combat suppiles and other medicinel items. "Thanks, sir. all I need some chlorform and a cigarette"

The man kept walking along, trying to make small talk with Clark.

"The apothecary is wonderful. He's done so much to help us and I'm glad to see that he's working on the festival"

The path he takes you on leads to a dark alley, where there seems to be not a soul in sight. He draws a dagger.

"All right, say the password or you're not going to be living for much longer

Leigh frowned. They would easily spot her if she was in the lonely alley. And now--a dagger?! Her mind begged her to keep on spying.

Clark spun, pulling out his blade. as the blade was pointed at the man. as the blade was softling humming, clark said " It doesn't matter if it is a white cat or black cat, as long as he catches mice"

He jumps back, startled

"Oh, ok, you know how to fight, we get it. We all do. And you also know the password from last week. Well, bub, things have changed. I know you're a vet, we're all vets. They dumped us back in the street after the war, and I'm just trying to make a living. I can't let you through, and I'd rather not be dead.

Boys!"

All of a sudden, two other men emerge, each carrying their own daggers and clubs.

"Look, I understand that you're having a hard life if you need this stuff. How about let's make it a little bit shorter, eh?" He says, with a smile on his face

Serenity started stalking the three people. She paid special attention to the girl, as she might make a good friend. She watched the girl as she pick pocketed a man and continued following them. Slowly they turned into a alley, and Serenity questioned herself. Should she follow them, and risk giving away her hiding spot. Many people started giving her weird looks, as she bounded from stall to stall, building to building, laying in the shadows. To late to hide now, lots of people were staring at her and shooing her. She crept into the alley and saw the man holding a dagger to another mans body. She gasped, as this was not expected. Her curiosity got the best of her again. She started moving towards the man, darting right past the girl without paying attention to her. Then she noticed more people coming in, but it was too late for her to turn back.

Clark, spinning his blade, tried hitting all of the men. From the stab, his whole body would be wrecked, the viberation of the blade tearing apart the sinew with ease. a mangled corpse would beon the ground, in a parrying postion, he would ask asked the main man "I suggest you let me in, or i will wreck you like i wrecked your comrade over there"

Leigh watched with wide eyes from her hiding spot in the shadows next to a trash bin. Wasn't the thing with the cats that part of the riddle she'd heard off the lips of the crazy old beggar who was always lying in the middle of the square, spouting rubbish?

Leigh almost yelped in surprise, seeing the two new, heavily-equipped men jump into the alley. She shrunk next to the garbage bin, her heart beating quickly, putting the hood of her cloak over her face to conceal her more. Then, in silence, she pulled out her dagger, ready for anything that might happen.

In sheer surprise at the kill, Serenity was almsot astounded that a man was killed right in front of her. She dashed to a trash can in front of her. Once she started squishing into the wall, she realized that she was touching a cloaked figure right next to her. She yelped quietly, and poked the figure.
"Are you the girl who pick pocketed that man?" she asked.

Leigh gasped as she jumped up and began to back away slowly, out of the alley, her dagger pointed at the men shakily, in her nervous hand.

The man spurted everywhere.

"Ow Fuck!" he said, as he fell down.

"All right, really? Vibroweapons cost a lot of fuel energy. You're not going to be able to maintain that for long in the condition you're in. All I have to do is keep dodging."

Leigh somehow escapes because I need to eat dinner.

Clark turned off the blade, and said " I can turn it OFF, dipshit, anyways. let me in, you will live. Don't. you will die" he readied his blade, pointing the blade at the man

"Uh.... hey, that was the password! All right, it's right here." He opens up a trapdoor that was pretty hard to find. In it you smell your favorite smells. The scents draw you there.
