Re: Out of the Frying Pan
The girl ran away, and Serenity decided not to follow. As she started to realize, more preceding events were unfolding before her eyes. She watched as the two men started eyeing each other, one pointing a dagger at another. She looked around and saw a half eaten chicken leg, rotten. She picked it up and decided it wouldn't be strong enough, and it reeked! She decided to sneak, sneak, sneak, until she was behind the man with the dagger. She was sure the man without the dagger saw her, but it didnt matter. The next events, she'll never know what happened, but it got crazy after she made a disorienting clap in the man with a dagger's ear.
Sadly as she was about to clap, the man started moving, towards a trapdoor that she never noticed, but she continued moving and was about to clap again anyways, as she saw fear in the eyes of the man without the dagger. She clapped, hard in the mans' ears.

"Wha? Who's there?" said, panicked. He turned around and saw Serenity
"Boss, we've got company!" he said, drawing his mace.

Re: Out of the Frying Pan
Serenity realized her clap had not worked well, and now both the men were after her. She used instinct at that moment. She slapped the man with the dagger, and ran behind her out of the alley. She figured that if she was in the crowd she would be safe.
Re: Out of the Frying Pan
Stabbed in the stomach, the main lumbered after her, but not being agile enough, fell down, bleeding.
"All right, smart one, this is your fault" Said the leader, talking to Clark. "You had the smart idea of pulling out a loud shitty weapon and now we have snitches. You know that we can't have snitches."

Re: Out of the Frying Pan
Serenity decided it was cowardly if she escaped. And those men looked shady, the only way of dealing with them was stealth elimination. Of course she never killed anyone, but she knew some attack tactics that would help her fight the men. She knew they would be after her, and they had something up their sleeves. Maybe killing them wasn't a good idea. Maybe she should see what they had hiding. She ran out of the alley and hid behind the corner, waiting for the men to charge out and look for her in the crowd.
Re: Out of the Frying Pan
The men weren't coming after her, but she did hear something.
"Did you see that! It was a goddamn snitch. Guess who's going to have to clean it up? Us. You've gotten one of us killed and another one stabbed. You're not getting anything until you come back with her head. You hear me? Her head."

Re: Out of the Frying Pan
Serenity felt fear shoot up her spine and into her head. She felt a cool chill of death coming upon her. The feeling of passing out right there came to her mind, but she shook it out. People were out to kill her because she knew nothing other than a secret group with a trapdoor. And she wanted to know what was up. However, Serenity didn't know what to do next. Should she continue to wait, but that statement made her freeze like a statue. Maybe she should hide until the men gave up. Then she could start her investigation.
Serenity moved away from the alley towards the cliff side, and gazed upon the ocean. Maybe she should sail for a few days. No one would find her on the open sea. That was a good idea she decided. She would have to take a boat from a store and sneak it into the ocean. It wouldn't be easy, in fact it would take her the rest of the festival day.
(By the way i sent you a PM please read anand)

Re: Out of the Frying Pan
""We" might not be the most appropriate term. I'm hiring you and you alone to do it if you want your stuff, maybe even at a discount, but the point is you're killing someone, and I don't want inno blood on my hands."
Re: Out of the Frying Pan
Leigh sighed, in the middle of the crowd again, cloak over her head. That was a close one. Maybe someone ought to stop following random strangers into alleyways. Leigh grinned, knowing that that wouldn't ever happen, with her curiosity. But still... Leigh's grin slowly faded. There was something familiar about that one guy...

"..okay. as long as i get payed" clark lept back into the crowd, and bumped into a small woman

Re: Out of the Frying Pan
Leigh turned around, not really focusing on the person who ran into her. "Uh, sorry..." she said as she looked up from under her cloak at the man. Her eyes widened, then narrowed. "You..."
Re: Out of the Frying Pan
Serenity turned around. She saw the girl again. She had heard her say something...
"Are you talking to me?" Serenity asked the girl. She had to be quick though. She could hear the men in the alley stumbling out of the alley.

Re: Out of the Frying Pan
Leigh put her hand on her dagger. "What do you mean. Who are you and how do you know me?" Leigh interrogated Clark coldly.

"No. You're wrong." Leigh's eyes pierced Clark's. "I didn't forget everything. You looked familiar since I first saw you today, with that other man."
Re: Out of the Frying Pan
"Ah shit. well... lets just say we have been... living togehter before" clark put his hand on his blade, and flipped the switch. the humming was noticible, as he pulled the blade out, he cut his tounge as customary. afterwords, he said "one second, i need to do something" he chased after serenity

Re: Out of the Frying Pan
"Wait! Hold on! I still have questions; don't think that "living together before" is enough to cut it!" Leigh raced after Clark angrily.
Re: Out of the Frying Pan
"We, at one point. where great friends, i took care of you, loved you like a daughter. when the war came" clark felt his scar. "when the war came....
I had to leave. they needed me. I wiped your memory with a cocktail of various drugs. and left..."
"I'm sorry"
Clark showed a bit of remorse

Re: Out of the Frying Pan
"Well, you're an idiot, then. Somehow this "they"--people you don't even know--just show up and want help, and you just go and abandon a good friend. Whatever. I don't even want to see you anymore, if that's the kind of person you are."
Leigh brought her cloak over her head again and walked away, into the festival crowd again.

Leigh kept on walking, but shooed him away with her hand. "Yeah, I don't care."
